Bought lux-HQ foam mattress for twin bed and it is perfect for back problems. If a side sleeper, any topper 1-3 inches with less density will make sleep comfortable. I'm a stomach sleeper and prefer a very firm bed. Memory foam has always been terrible for me. I was planning to use a 5" Lux HQ by itself. But this was just a teensy bit too firm to sleep on. I got a 1.5" memory foam topper from Jysk and now my setup is fantastic. No back pain from the bed. In hindsight, I should've just bought a latex or memory foam topper from here too.

I used a 5" piece of Lux HQ foam in my camper conversion and probably could have even gone thinner with how dense it was. The foam was firm, comfortable and held up well. I'm onto the next build now and am buying the same. Love that I can customize the height and that there is no risk of fiberglass if I need to cut it, plus its proven to be comfy and good for mine and my partner's back. The new owners of the camper commented on the feel of the mattress too, saying they were glad it was firm and felt like a real mattress not cushions.
